Ray Bradbury writing style

Her face was like a snow-covered island upon which rain might fall, but it felt no rain; over which clouds might pass their moving shadows, but she felt no shadow. (p.13)
-Beatty was looking at him as if he were a museum statue. At any moment, Beatty might rise and walk about him, touching, exploring his guilt and self-consciousness. (p.33)
-"Sometimes I'm ancient. I;m afraid of children my own age. They kill each other. Did it always use to be that way?" (p.30)
-"I'm antisocial, they say. I don;t mix. It's so strange. I'm very social indeed. It all depends on what you mean by social, doesn't it?" (p.29)
Beatty "I've had to read a few in my time, to know what I was about, and the books say nothing! Nothing you can teach or believe. They are all about nonexistent people, figments of imagination, if they are fiction. And if they're non-fiction, it's worse, one professor calling another an idiot, one philosopher screaming down another's gullet. All of them running about, putting out the stars and extinguishing the sun. You come away lost." (62)

He uses a very discriptive and he uses  a lot of personification to give non living things life and the characteristics of a living thing. He also uses alot of emotions when it comes to the dialogue of the characters in his story.

Science Fiction

Science fiction is fiction where the impossible is made possible. Some famous authors are Robert A. Heinlein, Rob Sterling, Lester Del Rey, Jonathan Swift, Carl Sagan, Isaac Asimov, Mary Shelley, H.G. Wells, and Edgar Allen Poe. The settings are like in the future or in the past.

Banned Books

Most of these books were banned for the reason of either sexuality or religon. To me this kinda says that fredom of speech is not a reality in this country and tht view or expressions are not always allowed to be expressed. Also they tend to blosck views that are not seen as normal in society. I have read some these books. Alot I have known about also. I my opinion my education would have been different in a way that I wouldnt have seen these different views expressed freely in writting and just only being exposed to the same views that are not banned in the United States of America.

The Importance of Pets

Pets to me are important. They  can show a person love with out even judging or with out even doing anything for them. Pets are important to people sometimes a persons life can just souly depend on their pet some timesa pet is the only family or friend a person can have. Pets can also be a form of protection and a sense of security. Pets are important in the lives of many people and to mine.

Thesis statement rough draft picks

2. Crucible Reputations Essay
Oscar Wildes, an Irish novelist and poet once said, "One can survive everything
nowadays, except death, and live down anything, except a good reputation." Through
this, Oscar acknowledges that everything in society is pretty much escapable, but living
up to a good reputation within the community, is a constant and continuous effort. In the
book "The Crucible," Arthur Miller portrays multiple characters outliving and getting past
the strict moral values in an attempt to keep up with a good reputation through John
Proctor, Reverend Paris, and Abigail Williams.

3. "Because it is my name! Because I cannot have another in my life! Because I lie and
sign myself to lies! Because I am not worth the dust on the feet of them that hang! How
may I live without my name? I have given you my soul; leave me my name!"- John
Proctor. The Crucible by Arthur Miller portrayed that in Salem, reputation was very
important. It was so important that if something was done to unclean your name, your
children were condemned to live with an unclean name. Today's society is the same,
reputation still has a high-power. For example, Michael Jackson named was ruined with
the accusations that arose. When his name came up pedophile came to mind. He died
with an unclean name and destroyed reputation.

8. "My reputation grows with every failure," quote by George Bernard shaw expresses
a lot about several characters in Arthur Miller's famous play The Crucible. During the
Salem Witch trials reputation meant absolutely everything to almost everyone.
Reputation was people thought of you not who you truly were. It took the people living
during those years a lot of wonderful actions but it frankly only took one inadequate
action to ruin their name in the village. Reputation meant everything like in the case of
Reverend Hale and John Proctor. Meanwhile there were others that didn't care so much
about their reputation like in the case of Abigail.

The reason primarily I selected these were for the reason that 2, 3, and 8 used quotes well in my opinion and did a fairly good job bringing in my attention to the subject of reputation.

One day Yessica came to school and yelled at Yanessa and Yaqualine using (9), Yessica couldn’t say anything because she felt (10) because of all those spicy chicken burgers that she ate. Poem:
In the action with no audience no source of credibility no pedistal for them to be trust upon
No motion for the location of glory no spectators no one to give your autograph
its all just manual extreme manual work
the traction  of avid learning  of the population on to be ended by
the ever so poritable revolver.

Are ideals worth life

To me ideals are worth life. One should stand for what they mean and hold on to it no matter what they face. Put a gun to my head and threaten to kill me my ideals will go with me. For example this quote from the revolutionary Ernesto "Che" Guevara, " I know you are here to kill me shoot, coward, you are only going to kill a man." Never be ashamed in what you believe in. For me I would die for the harm of others if someones or alot of peoples lifes are at stake to me I would rather me die then someone else or a group.

Rumors

A recent rumor that I have heard is that people in my family are talking about me and my brother and that we are in reality bad kids and that we introduced my little cousin into bad things and part of it was that he confessed to things that were not linked to my brother and I but his parent drew conclusions and filled gaps just to find somebody to accuse. The ones who controled the rumor were the starters my aunt and uncle who have a grudge against us.
